Products: PZT Ribbons

CeraNova's ribbon-shaped PZT fibers are produced roll milling extruded round fiber. These ribbons have been used in Active Fiber Composite packs that have met or exceeded the performance of AFC packs made with round fibers.

CeraNova has produced PZT ribbons with excellent electrical properties in a variety of thickness and aspect ratios.

Some potential advantages of ribbons for Active Fiber Composites include:

	improved densification and properties
	more robust than fine diameter fibers
	easier handling and lay up
	reduced number of fibers required to cover a given surface area
